Welcome to KRSN 1490 AM, Los Alamos!

KRSN AM 1490 broadcasts from the Pajarito Plateau reaching Los Alamos, Espanola, Pojoaque , Santa Fe, and the areas in between. That means over 250,000 people can hear us.  We entertain and inform our listening public through locally produced and syndicated shows captivating local interests .  We broadcast national and local news.  Local issues are included through features and interviews.

KRSN is dedicated to being involved  in and an integral part of the communities we serve.  We participate in community activities and events as participants, sponsors, organizers, promoters or broadcasters. We are a proud Diamond level  donor for the United Way of Northern New Mexico.  We are a Platinum donor for the Los Alamos Summer Concert Series. KRSN is the primary sponsor of the Empty Bowls Event for Self Help Inc.

We act as the primary sponsor for the Empty Bowls Event held in March for the benefit of Self Help Inc.  2009 was the 40th year Self Help
assisted members of our community.  It was the 16th annual Empty Bowls Project.  The event was in danger of being discontinued due to lack of sponsors until KRSN AM 1490 proudly stepped in and provided the volunteers, publicity, and storage space needed to produce the most successful bowl sale in event history.  Empty Bowls 2010 was held again on the second Saturday in March.  It was a little more successful than 2009 and raised over $9,000 for Self Help Inc.
